Fairview Park Library Happenings

August 10 from 1:00 p.m. to 4 p.m.   Join us for the first day of Teen Writer Bootcamp. This five-day program for aspiring young authors ages 13-18.  The fundamentals of creative writing will be reviewed and participants will be guided in creating new work in poetry, fiction, and drama. Please bring along an example of your best writing, and plan
on attending all 5 days. In-person registration required.

August 12 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Come and hear Judy Crawford perform songs of Irving Berlin, George Gershwin and Cole Porter, songwriters who dominated the popular music of the United States in the late 19th century and early 20th century. Registration required.  

August 13 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.   Congratulations! You’ve got the interview scheduled, now what? Learn some Interviewing Techniques! In this workshop you will learn what you should and should not do before, during, and after the interview. This will include both verbal and non-verbal cues through several phases of the interview process. There will be an opportunity to practice the phases of interviewing. Registration required.
